Hi Every one

Right now little I feel a bit crap...Pulled out of two tours early in them, just recently:(
Past three weeks I have been a little fatigued.
Got some bloods back but they say I'm fine....
Most likely just a little worn out, going to have a week off. Then easy riding for a few days.

Only had 3 weeks off after Southland, then back training for Bay Crits starting 2nd Jan & Nats the following weekend, so it's been pretty full on. There could be umber of factors, but I think it is because lack of time off from racing in the past year season.

Just need a little rest and I'll be smashing it again soon :)

I have helped our team to several victories, & am a very valuable asset to the team!! I'm good all round & provide a top lead out man to Bobby Lea, our sprinter.

I have just up dated my map on FB which is interesting if you want to see where I've been :)

The big races are just starting, so I'm really looking forward to laying down the smack!!!!!!!!
I singed up with Calder Stewart right after the finish of Southland last year.
They are paying all my costs. Get a free flight back home lol, & most impressive of all $1,000 to go towards costs. But it's about time I'm getting paid what I'm worth :)

It's amazing geography over here; I've driven 40hrs from point A to B & the scenery basically doesn't change. Just long straight roads, with fast food every min, literally,,, lol, it's no surprise Americans are so fat lol!

I'm going to Michigan this weekend, I was going to be racing a race like the K2 (in NZ) but am not now as I'm having time off.

The team needs five to start so I'll start in my kit & every thing, I'll be rolling round the corner & pulling out straight away lol.

I will be moving into my apartment this coming monday with team mate Rich so will be able to get to know some people, & make friends.

Rich & I will probably buy a cheap car so we have a few options to go with. Rich who is from Germany did some schooling here, so if we get a car we have a few places we can stay at, & have a look around.

Other than that things are all right, really looking forward to racing Philly Week early June. It's a 1.0 cat, meaning it's categorized as the largest one day road races in the world. 1.0 means it's a one day race 2.0 means it's a tour. 1.0 is the biggest, 1.9 smallest & the same for 2.0. Theres a write up on my blog about the race. It's the largest one day road race in America. With over 500,000 spectators.

Every thing's so cheap here so I've been stocking up on some nice clothes, so getting pretty pimped lol.

Thanks for reading

While the teams have been known for weeks, just which riders would be making the start for the Commerce Bank Triple Crown was still unknown – with many big name starters possible, especially from the ProTour squads. Wait no more! The preliminary rosters were announced on Thursday, headlined by triple-stage Giro winner Daniele Bennati (Liquigas), defending overall winner Bernhard Eisel (High Road) and Swedish champion Magnus Backstedt (Slipstream Chipotle - H30).

One of the surprises is not seeing CSC's speedster and 2007 Philadelphia International winner JJ Haedo on the list, with the team needing his services in Europe to cover for multiple injured riders. His speed will definitely be missed as Philadelphia can often result in a field sprint.

Another highlight on the start list is Kiwi Greg Henderson (High Road), who won two races here two years ago, helping secure his spot on a ProTour squad. Slipstream's Paris-Roubaix surprise Martijn Maaskant (Slipstream Chipotle - H30) will join a well-rounded team that also includes sprinter Tyler Farrar.

Coming up on

Cyclingnews will be covering the Giro d'Italia live every day starting from 12:00 local time (CEST)/6:00 EDT (USA East)/3:00 PDT (USA West)/20:00 AEST (Australia East).
Also on WAP-enabled mobile devices at http://live.cyclingnews.com/wap/

On the domestic side, Rory Sutherland (Health Net-Maxxis) is having a killer first-half of the season, winning two stage races in two weeks and he achieved a lot of top five finishes, including fourth on Brasstown Bald in the Tour de Georgia. Toyota-United rolls in with a lot of fast firepower, with Ivan Dominguez, Hilton Clarke and B world champion Ivan Stevic. Former USPRO road champion Freddie Rodriguez (Rock Racing) has won here before and will be looking to navigate his team to a win. BMC is coming off a win at the Tour de Leelanau with Taylor Tolleson, and also brings Michael Sayers to his last Philly week after announcing Tuesday that he will retire at the end of the season.

Bissell's Ben Jacques-Maynes has recent results pointing towards a strong Philly week, as does Colavita-Sutter Home's Lucas Sebastian Haedo. Team Type 1's former Navigators riders know this week well with Glen Chadwick always dangerous for a breakaway. The Tecos-Trek team had a successful Tour of the Gila with overall winner Gregorio Ladino back for more. The Symmetrics team has strongman Svein Tuft and sprinter Andrew Pinfold, winner of the final stage at Mt. Hood.

The women's field has a number of strong teams, including three European squads that will be a force to be reckoned with – High Road, Cervelo-Lifeforce and Equipe Nürnberger Versicherung. Ina Teutenberg (High Road) comes into the race with two wins at the Tour de l'Aude. Former US road champion Kristin Armstrong leads the Cervelo-Lifeforce team while 2006 winner Regina Schleicher and Suzanne De Goede (Nürnberger) are strong threats.

Cyclingnews will have full coverage of all three men's races plus the women's Liberty Classic.

CSC Invitational ready with international fields

Both the men's and women's fields for the 11th CSC Invitational outside of Washington, DC, are quite strong this year, including two ProTour men's teams with CSC and High Road. The tough course on the streets of Clarendon in Arlington, Virginia, feature sharp turns, a long finish stretch and a pace that keeps most riders on the rivet. This, combined with a quality field, makes this race a feather in the cap for any domestic team. Last year's men's winner Rahsaan Bahati (Rock Racing) said on the awards podium, "besides winning Nationals, this is the biggest win I have ever had!"

Both men's ProTour teams have more than adequate riders, including Bernhard Eisel (High Road) and Matthew Goss (CSC). Unfortunately, CSC will not be bringing their talented speedster Juan Jose Haedo. However, another Haedo will be in the running for the domestic teams. The younger Haedo brother Lucas Sebastian, who races for JJ's former domestic team Colavita-Sutter Home, already has a number of quality wins this year. Health Net-Maxxis will have to convert from its recent domination of US stage races to criteriums, and will likely rely on US criterium champion Kirk O'Bee and Tasmanian Karl Menzies for this job. Rock Racing will have three-time USPRO road champion Fred Rodriguez to help defend its title.

In the women's race, three former winners will race against each other for the first time at this event. German Ina Teutenberg (High Road) is keeping up her usual winning ways this year. Tina Pic (Colavita-Sutter Home) comes to this race once again as the reigning US criterium champion and herself off of two stage wins at the recent Mt. Hood Cycling Classic. Finally, Cheerwine's Laura Van Gilder has raced in all but two years at this event and is the defending champion. Her team is coming off a one-two finish at the tough Tour de Leelanau last weekend.

The two races begin after amateur events at 10:15am with the women racing 50 kilometres. The 100-kilometre men's race is the final event of the day, scheduled to begin at 12:15. The spectator friendly course is located aroundf the start-finish area at the Clarendon Metro stop in Arlington, VA at 3100 Wilson Blvd.

It's going pretty good here, I'm very happy with the rest of my team:) I have won two races personally, & the team has won 10 or so together!!! Since I have been here!!

Well for the first week which was training camp, we all stayed at Speedy our mechanics house for a week in Kutztown Pennsylvania (PA)

Followed by a race in Kirwood PA on the weekend in which the team road awesomely well and I took a solo victory!

Myself & team mate Richard Geng from Germany, are the two foreigners on the team. We are living together while we are here, so it's nice to go training together & keep each other company.

We then stayed at another team mates house in Pottstown PA for a week. Stefan Kincaid (Geronimo) & wife Jill, who were awesome.

Raced a race on Sat in Walkersville. The team road awesome together to lead out Bobby Lea for the win. The next day we had a race in Pinecone NJ, which I won in a two man breakaway, in the coldest conditions I havr ever raced or ridden in, I almost keeled over, it was so cold. Then after that we race moved in with another team mate, Jonathan Erdelyi, & girl friend Jo in Bradley Beach NJ, for two weeks. Went to New York while I was there which was interesting. Had two races while in NJ when I was at Jons; at the Cherry Blossom race we had a 4th on Sat, with Richard Sprinting for fourth, & a 1st & 2nd on Sun. With first place going to Jon & second to Stephan.

After the second race we moved back to Topton PA to compete in another race, & live at Bobby Leas for two weeks.
The next weekend we had a two day 3 stage Tour, called Tour of Ephrata.
Road Race was on sat which Bobby won, myself 5th Richard 8th. We were in an 8 man break & lead Bobby out for the win, which was an awesome result out of a field of 100.
Sun Morning we had the TT (time trial) which no one in the team did well in and that afternoon we had a criterium in the town of Epherata, which we smashed, with myself going off the front for most of the race, & to have Booby win the sprint. Which placed Bobby in 2nd overall
While staying at Bobby's Richard & I had the use of his car, while he was away to race at Speed Week. It was great to do some touring around PA, & to scope out some good training places with Bobby living 5 mins down the road from our housing in Kutztown.

We then drove to DC which was 4.5hr for a race there called Crystal City which goes around the Pentagon. I had to pull out dew to illness.

Right after the race we went across to Indianapolis which was the most boring 10 hr drive ever. Arrived at 3:30am to stay at a team mates house for a few days.

Then another 10 hour drive to Arkansas, for a race called the Joe Martin stage race two days later.

After that we have another stage race called Tour of Arkansas.

There will Student housing in Kutztown PA where we will live from 21 May onwards, unless we are on Tour. Most of the students will be gone as it will be summer holidays.

After that our next major race is Philly Week in the first week of June.

The Victories Keeping Rolling

29 April 2008
Wayne, Pennsylvania –Rite Aid Pro Cycling presented by Shebell & Shebell continued it’s winning ways in Newark, NJ; Norristown, PA and Ephrata, PA.

Racing in Newark, NJ at the Cherry Blossom Challenge, Jonathan Erdelyi and Stephan “Geronimo” Kincaid took first and second in an impressive display of tactics and strength. Norristown PA followed as the 4 man Colavita squad challenged the team. Bobby Lea took the win after a strong leadout by the boys.

Tour of Ephrata was a two-day, three stage event in beautiful PA. Stage one was a new road race course which seemed to favor the team. In the end a large break stayed away. Richard Geng and Miles Watson took care of delivering Bobby to the line as he notched up another victory. The final stage, a downtown criterium, was perfect closure to the weekend’s activities. Aggressive riding and strong work from the team concluded the stage with a field sprint. The Rite Aid Pro Cycling presented by Shebell & Shebell boys (Bill Ellistion, Guido Palma, Geranimo, Richard, and Miles) once again delivered Bobby to the line and Bobby reinforced why he’s a sprinter to be reckoned with in 2008.

Coming up later this week the team will be racing Speed Week in SC, Sunny King Criterium in AL, Roswell Cycling Classic in GA, and the US Air Force Cycling Classic in VA.

Teams set for Triple Crown in Philly

Organizers of the Commerce Bank Triple Crown of cycling, in and around Philadelphia in the first week of June, have announced the bulk of the teams set to compete for the US$100,000 in prizes for three races – $10,000 of which goes solely to the series winner.

Leading the pack are two ProTour teams, High Road and Team CSC, which both having sponsorship interest in North America. High Road's Bernhard Eisel won the overall last year, winning the first two races in Lancaster and Reading, and finishing third in the field sprinter on the final race in Philadelphia. CSC's sprinter JJ Haedo took that field sprint continuing his winning ways on this continent.

Also packing a punch will be the Slipstream-Chipotle team as it prepares for its Tour de France debut. Not to be discounted are top domestic teams, including Health Net-Maxxis which won many races in its history, including two by Kiwi Greg Henderson in 2006, which helped secure his current place on High Road. Toyota-United will be another to watch with sprinter Ivan Dominguez, B world champion Ivan Stevic and Canadian Dominique Rollin. This could be the first opportunity for JJ Haedo's younger brother Sebastian Haedo (Colavita-Sutter Home,) winner of the recent US Air Force Classic, to go head-to-head with big bro.

The Canadian Symmetrics team with last year's UCI America Tour winner Svein Tuft will be on hand again representing one of seven international team, with two more to be determined. Two European domestic teams are making the trip across the pond, including Ireland's new Pezula Racing team and Team Sparkasse from Germany. Tecos-Trek will also be competitive, having recently won the Tour of the Gila overall last week.

The three-race series begins June 3 with a new race, the Lehigh Valley Classic, which replaces the Lancaster venue. The parcours features an 136km, 12-lap circuit race that races through Allentown. Two days later, the third edition of the Reading Classic features three times up Mt. Penn. Finally, the 24th annual Philadelphia International Championship features 250km and ten ascents of the infamous 18 percent grades of the Manayunk Wall. Cyclingnews will have live, up-to-the minute coverage of all three events, as well as the women's Liberty Classic.
